Objective of the Yatra: To enhance knowledge & Bhakthi of youth by educating them about the ancient, rich, heritage of Azhwarthirunagari & surrounding kshetrams, their association with Swamy Nammazhwar, Swamy Ramanujar (Bhagavadacharyar) & puranas.

Who can participate: Youth and children between the ages of 7 and 25 only. Children from ages 7 to 17 should mandatorily be accompanied by one or a maximum of 2 guardians such as parents/grandparents. Youth aged 18 to 25 will have to participate alone. People above 25 years cannot participate unless they are only accompanying as guardian a child of age 7 to 17.

Details, terms and conditions of the Yatra: Interested Yatris will have to register with us. Registration will complete only after making their yatra contribution in our website.

Onward Journey: Yatris to make their own onward/return travel arrangements. Following are suggested mode/timings.

  • Chennai: By Bus or Train – TCN Exp, TBM NCJ Exp, Nellai Exp, Annathapuri Exp (arriving at Tirunelveli from 4 AM to 6.45 AM)
  • Coimbatore / Salem: By Bus or Train – NCJ Exp (arriving at 3.25 AM / 8.15 AM)
  • Bangalore: By Bus or Train – NCJ Exp (arriving at 5.45 PM)
  • Trichy: By Bus

Pick-up: Yatris will be picked up at Tirunelveli Railway Station from 4 AM to 8.15 AM.

Places of visit: Yatra proposes to cover Navatirupathi Divyadesams, Vanamamalai, Tirukkurungudi, including places of great divine, importance like Thiruppuliya maram (more than 5000 years old), Ramanusa Chaturvedi Mangalam, Appan Koil, Thirumangai Azhwar Thiruvarasu, Thiruppariyatta Parai, Mahendragiri Hills, Nambi Aaru, and Malaimel Nidra Nambi.

These places are situated in scenic & beautiful surroundings of rivers, mountains, water streams and greenery.

Yatris would be spending 3 nights at Azhwarthirunagari. It’s a very small town and all accommodation would be in Dharmasalas with common bathroom/toilets. Nadhi Snanam would be there and guardians are responsible for the safety and custody of their children.

Return Journey: Following are the suggested mode/timings. All Yatris will be dropped at 4.30 PM at Tirunelveli Railway Station.

  • Chennai: By Bus or Train – TEN TBM Spl, Kanyakumari Exp, Nellai Exp, Ananthapuri Exp, TCN Exp, NCJ MAS Exp (departures starting from 6.15 PM)
  • Coimbatore / Salem: By Bus or Train – NCJ Exp (departure starting at 9 PM)
  • Bangalore: By Bus or Train – NCJ SMUT Exp (departure at 8.55 PM)
  • Trichy: By Bus

Last Date: The number of Yatris may be limited to 300. Applications will be accepted on first come first served basis and if number of Yatris crosses limit, applications will be waitlisted and accepted at discretion/against cancellation. The last date for registering is April 30th. Priority will be given to children who have learned or are currently learning Divyaprabandham, through the “Iramanusa Idu En Vinnappame” online classes being conducted by Kinchitkaram.

Cancellation & Refund: If any cancellations are made after May 7th, there would be no refund of the yatra contribution. For any cancellations between May 1st to May 7th, 50% of the yatra contribution made would be refunded, for any cancellations between Apr 25th to 30th, 75% of the yatra contribution would be refunded. This would also apply in the event of any covid related cancellation either by yatri or by trust.

Payment Mode: All payments to be done online. “Iramanusa Idu En Vinnappame” students to first fill form & submit. Upon verification, payment link will be sent to them. All other Yatris to pay online after filling required details.

The amount contributed by yatris will be towards the cost of yatra and any balance would be used for noble causes of spreading Sanatana Dharma. For only children who have or are enrolled in the Divyaprabandha classes conducted by Kinchitkaram under the “Iramanusa Idu En Vinnappame”, there would be a discounted yatra contribution of Rs.4000 per child. For all other children/youth and guardians, the yatra contribution would be Rs.5000 per child/person. Children attending Divyaprabandham classes need to give the name of the moderator/teacher and mobile number with which they have registered for verification and for availing the benefit.

General Instructions:

  1. All passengers must carry one Photo Identity Proof.
  2. Morning coffee, breakfast, lunch and dinner would be provided. Water bottles to be bought on their own.
  3. Programme itinerary and timing are subject to change. Trust reserves its right to accept or decline any application and to cancel any part or the whole of the yatra.
  4. Guardians are responsible for the safety and custody of the children. 
  5. Yatris to carry a plate, tumbler and get their own sleeping accessories.
  6. All other details, terms and conditions applicable as indicated in org and as may be communicated from time to time.
